Our Schulke pipe organ was installed one hundred years ago after the tragic damage caused by the Palm Sunday tornado of 1909. It has undergone a number of rehabilitations including by members of the Dad’s Club back in the 1980’s. It is currently under the ongoing and urgently needed care of James Leek of Oberlin, a noted organ-builder and technician whose family began their trade in the Netherlands generations ago.

Program included:
  • Prelude E-flat Major Johann Sebastian
  • 1st movement, Allegro from Concerto in A Minor . S. Bach - A.Vivaldi

Four Eagle Award Banquet and Silent Auction
The Four Eagle event is celebrated in order to give recognition to individuals or groups who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the Saint Stanislaus community.

It is also one of the major fundraisers for our parish. These funds are raised to support the continued advancement of the spiritual, educational, and cultural mission of this shrine parish. We have so much to be thankful for and know so many in need.

This year we are honored the generosity to our parish of two families—the late Mel Kurtz, for the Kurtz Family, founder of Kurtz Brothers, Inc., and the late Rich DiGeronimo, for the DiGeronimo Family, founder of Precision Environmental and Independence Excavating. As individuals, families, and businesses, these honorees have chosen to become a part of our lives at St. Stanislaus by providing their time, talent, and treasure to a parish running on a very tight budget. We humbly thanked them for these gifts which have allowed us to continue the advancement of the spiritual, educational, and cultural mission of this Shrine Parish.

    CityMusic Cleveland
    Children's Concert

Favorites for this now annual event included:
  • Prokofiev: Peter and the Wolf
  • Rossini: Tancredi Overture
  • Conducted by Damon Gupton

Peter and the Wolf, by the Russian-born Sergei Prokofiev, was written at a time when he had children and remembered an opera he composed when he was nine years old, called The Giant, and it was this memory that inspired him to write this musical tale.

Each character in Prokofiev's musical fairytale is represented by a different instrument of the orchestra: a bird by a twittering flute, the duck by a plangent oboe, the cat by a mellifluous oboe, and Peter by all the strings playing a jaunty march. The timpani or kettledrums are the hunters shooting their riffles.

The concert was conducted by the well know conductor Damon Gupton. He is also an accomplished actor. The narrator was Steve Moretti, an accomplished musician and great storyteller.
